Dedicated in 1968, The Taipei Hsing Tien Temple enshrines the Imperial Sovereign Saint Guan (Guan Gong). It is also called the EnJhu Temple (temple of salvation sovereign). There is always incense burning and it is an important cultural heritage site that foreign visitors must see for themselves. On the eve of every lunar new year, at midnight, crowds of followers will rush to burn the first incense. This has become a very eventful folk activity in Taiwan. Along with the original Taipei temple, SanSia temple and BeiTou temple were built earlier.
