Taipei Confucian Temple celebrates a grand ceremony in memory of  Confucius every September 28th.. The ceremony follows ancient rituals dated from the Ming Dynasty. The young dancers present the memorial dance in a deportment drastically different from that of the modern age. People come to pull out wisdom hair from the sacrifice. This annual event attracts many foreign visitors.
