The Mayor’s Residence Arts Salon

The Mayor’s Residence was built in1940, during Japanese Occupation period. It is a typical model of the “Mixture of Japanese Style” residence, which is quite unusual among the historic buildings. Most of the former Taipei City majors once lived here while they were in office. In 1998, it was renovated and formally reopened to the public.  It has a café and place for exhibitions, performances and activities of arts and literates. There are frequent literature programs and all sorts of seminars and exhibitions.
